Below you will find some frequently asked questions. If you have not found answers to your questions please feel free to contact me at (775) 772-9301 any time and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Why hire a pet sitter?

There are several advantages in hiring a pet sitter:
• Your pet will remain in their regular environment and avoid the unnecessary stress of staying in an unfamiliar place.
• Your pet will be able to follow their normal feeding and exercise schedule.
• Your pet is not exposed to illness of other animals and will be closely monitored.
• Extra security measures will be provided to protect your home and give it a "lived in" look from the exterior by rotating lights, window coverings, as well as bringing in the mail and newspaper.
• If your travel plans change, you will have peace of mind knowing that I will be able to continue caring for your pet until your return.
• You will not need to ask a neighbor, friend or family member to care for your pet while you are away.
• While you are away you can rest assured knowing that your pet is in loving care.

Are you bonded and insured?
Yes. A copy of my insurance coverage is available upon request.

How early should I book services?
Call or email me as soon as you have definite travel plans. Certain times of the year I book up quickly and in advance.

Why are two copies of keys necessary?
I require that you provide two copies of keys at the consultation in the rare case that there was ever an emergency and I got locked out.

Do you have references?
Yes. References are available upon request.

How many times per day do you come to my house while I am gone?
During vacation care, I require a minimum of two 30 minute visits for dogs and one 30 minute visit for cats per 24 hour period to ensure your pet is safe and receiving enough exercise.

Do you have business hours?
My office hours are Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. My phone number is (775) 772-9301. Please understand due to the nature of my service I may not be able to answer your call. However your phone call is very important to me so please leave a voice mail and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Clients returning home should call at any hour so I know you are home, and that your pets are safe and back under your care.

Do you have plans that include disaster preparedness?
In the event of a fire, earthquake or other natural disaster, I will do all that I possibly can to make sure your pets are safe and that you and/or your emergency contacts are contacted.

Can you give my pet their injections if needed?
I will gladly administer any topical or oral medications at no additional charge, but I cannot administer injections.

Do you board pets in your home?
I do not carry a separate Dog/Pet Day Care policy, therefore I cannot board your pet in my home.
